Lego Yoga: What It Feels Like to Exercise in Your 40s

I’ve been trying to get fit(ter). For about 40 years now. I’m a slow learner.

I do yoga about twice a year, which is just slightly less than I exercise.

Lately when I do yoga poses, I feel not-so-limber.

Kind of like Lego.

In fact, doing yoga when you’re in your 40s is a lot like doing yoga when each of your joints moves only one way.

Like Lego.

Here is what I look and feel like:

Lego Yoga - Downward Dog Pose

Lego Yoga - Cobra PoseLego Yoga - Warrior 1 Pose
Lego Yoga - Warrior 2 PoseLego Yoga - Crab Pose

Lego Yoga - Headstand Pose

Lego Yoga Corpse Pose

I tend to live most of my life in corpse pose with crabby face.

Corpse pose is my favourite, right after child’s pose. I feel like there may be a connection between the two…

Lego yoga is really cute! My wife loves yoga and she do that almost everyday.

At least you can do headstand pose because I can not. My favorite is corpse pose because basically it is laying on the ground. LOL.

Oh man, I miss yoga. I have terrible balance but I’m moderately bendy so the only poses I can do with any real success are the ones on the floor. LOL! You’ve got me beat. 😉
