Fresh off their stop in Maryland and a trip to the National Zoo, Thing 1 and Thing 2 headed to Missouri, where they got a bit political this week. I’m delighted that Amy Stevens, who blogs at Life from the Trenches, volunteered to host them in Joplin. In May, I posted about the tornado that demolished parts of Amy’s community, including her house and possessions.
Amy and her children took Thing 1 and Thing 2 on a tour of Joplin three months after the tornado, where they witnessed both destruction and hope.
