My little corner of the blogging world is heating up this week.
I’ve been chosen.
I always hoped I’d join an all-star team. I just didn’t think I’d be drafted into the First Annual Blogging All-Star Team. I’m tickled. I’ve been selected for Team Ricky. Our team is in competition against some guy named Rob and his team of flunkies. We want to win (and have fun and introduce you to other bloggers, blah blah blah). Regardless, you have to vote for Team Ricky HERE.

If you’re wondering why you should give us your vote, here are 10 unbeatable reasons:
- I’m grouped with a lot of men. I could go on, but this is a PG blog.
- I’m the only Canadian in the competition. A vote for us is a vote for global dialogue. Or something. Eh?
- I’m the only woman in the competition. A vote for us is a vote for equality (cue sappy but triumphant music).
- Our team captain/coach/big kahuna is Ricky Anderson. His name sounds all-American, but I’m convinced it’s a cover up for his real life as a Ninja.
- We have a guy named Knox McCoy. I’m pretty sure he just swaggered off a Hollywood set of the remake of Dirty Harry.
- Matt Cannon is on our side. Is it me, or does it sound like he’s the latest star on CSI:Knoxville?
- I’m in the company of Tyler Tarver. Can’t you just imagine Tarver on the back of an NHL jersey, maybe the Winnipeg Jets?
- And last but not least is Scott Moore. I can see his name followed by the words “New York Times Bestseller.”
- My name sounds like it belongs on the credits of an adult movie. Maybe you think that’s a reason to vote for us.
- The other team’s names sound like sneezes. Acuff? Furtick? Bless you.
Did I mention you need to vote for us? For Team Ricky? You have to go to some other guy’s blog to do that.
Go on now.
You know you want to.

Did I miss any reasons to vote for Team Ricky?
What would you like to be drafted for?
Awesome! I am so proud on the behalf of women everywhere. And sass. Definitely sass.
You’ve got my vote!
Thanks, Jess. Now if only I could remember to play my turn on Words With Friends.
Oh it’s on, baby! Reasons 2 & 3 get you my vote. And because you are a blogging force (that’s a compliment)!
Bon chance!
Thanks, Lori!
I came. I saw. I voted. (for you guys. because I don’t kick puppies.)
Good luck, lady!
(I mean sassy Canadian.)
Sass for sass, eh?
I’m voting for you 1 cuz your a Canuck EH! and for reason #9 🙂
LOL.
Very funny! Love the picture – someone is very talented to draw that! Yes – I voted for your team – GO TEAM RICKY!!! And congratulations for being the ONLY female! You ROCK!!
Yes, Wes is a huge talent.
Now that’s a blog title.
😀
Also possibly a hit sitcom title.
If it makes you feel better I am tempted to vote against my team because of you. Nah. Love your blog but I just can’t vote against myself.
Follow your heart, Rob.
Love it! How fun. And you know you got my vote!
Cheers, eh!
Voting is done. Ricky is ahead.
Thanks. Not anymore, though!
What a cool idea…an All Star Team. I’ll be voting for you for reason #11- You’re awesome!
Aww, thanks.
I wish you all job promotions and/or quiet, well-behaved children.
Thanks for your votes!
Your team has my vote because your blog friggin’ rocks. I am excited to check out the blogs by the other folks on your team, as well as the competition. It is exceedingly difficult to find good, funny writers, so thank you for doing what you do!
Thank you for taking the time to comment. And compliment. 😀
Go Leanne! You have my vote. Can my children vote? And I have three dogs…they all want to vote. Counting Doc, that’s 9. Go Team Ricky!
If they want to vote, we would not want to stand in their awesome way.
I wish you good hair days for the rest of your life.
Ricky, do you wish yourself good hair days, too?
There’s a reason you won’t find too many pictures of me on the Internet!
You have our votes, Sassy!
All the best!
Cute Avi by the way.
I know. Great artwork, eh?
How did I miss this? Wow like coolness Ms. SupaStar! Sounds fun. Up against Acuff and company though. That’s gonna be tough, even for a sassy Canadian like you.
Acuff is tough. It even rhymes. Sigh. Perhaps I need more sass, eh?
Hello! I did my part, voted team Ricky–and heaped a whole bunch o’hate on Mr. CSI:Knoxville this past Wednesday. Pleased to make your acquaintance via the intertubes, ma’am!
Great to meet you, Mr. Randomly…
Thanks for the voting o’love.
Mother Hen voted for Team Ricky because she too is sassy and Candian, but she has the nasty suspicion that chicken votes don’t count, so don’t tell, okay?
Canadian, Canadian, Canadian!
A chick ought to be able to edit her replies, don’t you think?
I like Candian. It has a certain sweetness to it.
Congrats! Your star is rising!
