It’s nearly Mother’s Day. Usually I celebrate Mother’s Day by calling my mom and apologizing for not sending her a card. Being awesome, my mom says she doesn’t want a card. Look how amazing she was (and still is…even though this picture was taken a few years ago).

But this Mother’s Day, I’m giving my mom the best (and easiest) gift of all. This free gift is loosely modelled after the fill-in-the-blank letters I received from my kids when they were in kindergarten a while back. Let’s face it: if adult colouring books are the new craft-du-jour, then it follows that fill-in-the-blank cards are perfect for septuagenarian parents.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. (See? I’m early!)
Stay tuned for her anniversary…when I’ll give her and my dad a bouquet of flowers made from egg cartons and pipe cleaners!
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.

Or tell me in the comments what you’d fill in the blanks…
Hilarious! So glad I am not the only one with an apology phone call for my mum EVERY mothers day.
Thanks loads Leanne…that was way better than any ‘store bought’ card,,,,I am so lucky to have such a great family and you kids are the ones that make my life very much worth while.
I wish I could buy you the house next door to me!
I know that LOL means ‘lots of laughs’ but it can also mean ‘lots of love’
