5: Weeks I’ve had this sucky sinus virus thingie

23: Number of times I’ve tweeted about said sucky-sinus-virus-thingie

3: Times I’ve complained I sound like Demi Moore

3: Times people have reassured me Demi Moore’s voice is sexy

0: More sleeps until I kiss my family goodbye, grab my sinus meds, and head to the airport with my red feather boa

You are lucky, Demi Moore does have a sexy voice. Usually when I am sick I sound more like Marge Simpson!!!!

I’d take 4 hours of toilet cleaning. Throw one back for me in Surrey, eh.

Hope you have an excellent conference! I also hope that we see pictures of said boas in action. Preferably not worn to just clean toilets.

1: Number of emails I got that my son had not turned in math homework.
1: Number of phone calls I received from the Vice Principal about my son’s “poor 8th grade choices)
0: Number of times said 8th grader claimed responsibility for the incident.
12: Number of times I wondered if I could start drinking at 9 AM and just not stop until the day was over.
.5: Number of glasses of wine I ACTUALLY consumed because I was too emotionally exhausted from the day.

Sigh. I’d rather do 4 hours of grading AND clean 4 toilets.

    Have fun at the conference!

Ha. It’s the 20th anniversary of the Surrey International Writers’ Conference, hence the 1920s theme.
